So, its been a LONG LONG time since I have had an actual post. I have been busy :)
We had our darling baby on March 5!!! I was induced on March 5, and after a 2 1/2 hour labor our BIG girl was born! Katherine Lily Moffitt weighed in at 10lb 8 oz and was 21 inches long. She was an instant celebrity at the hospital, being the largest baby that had been delivered there so far this year!
She is such a sweet baby, and is already sleeping through the night! We have lots and lots of mothers living in our house, so I am never without someone willing to get a diaper, binky or blankey for our little one.
I don't have a ton of time to blog right now, but was feeling bad that I haven't blogged for SOOOO long! I will blog more soon, I promise. AND I am still planning on going private, just haven't done it yet :)

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Years!!!
Yep, I have not posted a single thing since Halloween! I have been pregnant, working, tired (beyond any form of tired I have ever known) and just plain lazy, I guess.
He had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We made a long, surprisingly easy road trip to Nauvoo, IL to spend THanksgiving with the Moffitt Family. We all stayed in one large rented home, and had a great time!!! Relaxed, ate, watched movies, ate, played games, ate, saw to sites, ate. It was GREAT!
We had a fun Christmas too! We had my mom in town AND Gregs parents! I will try to get the drive to do an actual post about Christmas, but it was a great time! Greg worked Christmas Even AND Christmas Day, so we pretty much spent the day at home, so that he could come home any chance he got.
Greg worked New Years Eve, and I wasn't in the mood to do much, so the girls and I had a New Years "Party" at our house! THey were in bed by 8:30 and I hung out till Greg got home at 11:40. (Yay, that he made it home before 12:00!! The last couple of years, he hasn't) We rang in the New Year with some sparkling grape juice and then called it a night! I was up this morning at 6:00 working, so I needed to get at least a little sleep :)
I hope that Holidays found everyone safe, happy and healthy! More posts to come, I will try, I promise :)
P.S. not long until there will be new baby posts!!!! YAY :)

(feelin like I need a)Thankful Tuesday!
I have such a blessed life....... I could end there, but I want to remember today and why I am so blessed. There really is not anything too special about Today, but to me it is special. I just have so many things that I am thankful for a this very moment, that I want to record them (mostly for myself)
1. I am thankful for my healthy happy (slighty nuts) little family. There is a little chaos and a lot of love in our home, and I am so thankful for that.
2. I am thankful that we are all reasonable healthy. No major health concerns in our home. Along with this, I am very thankful that Grace told me yesterday that her new glasses are the BEST ones she has ever had. She said she can see SO much better with them, and they are not "fuzzy" like her last ones. (I have not posted anything about her eye issues she is dealing with right now, but she is a brave little gal. I hope that she will be victorious with all her work she is putting into fixing her eyes)
3. I am thankful that we are having another girl. I would have happily taken a girl or a boy but collecting, and relocating our baby girl stuff is so much fun!
4. I am thankful for my husband. He is amazing. I won't go too much into it,so that nobody gets sick from the mushiness. He knows just what to say to make me laugh. I ALWAYS know that I am loved. We have an awesome relationship, and I am VERY thankful for that.
5. I am thankful that it is socially acceptable to be a cry baby when you are pregnant :) I am such a crier latley. I don't cry in public, but I swear if I let myself I could. I am not sad, just super crazy emotional. I find myself getting "touched" over EVERYTHING. If a mom says something kind to her child in the store, I feel touched. If one of my daughters says a cute prayer, I am touched. If my husband takes out the trash, you guessed it.... touched :)
6. I am thankful for my extended family. Both sides. We are so lucky to ahve such a great support system. I know that many many people are not a lucky as us. I am thankful for each of you.
7. I am thankful that there is so much candy around this time of year. I have comsumed far more than my share, but DANG it is so yummy !!!
8. I am thankful for our friends. We have so many amazing friends that we love just like family. There are a few of you (I HOPE you know who you are) that I swear I do not know what I would do without. I love you, you are family.
9. I am thankful that we are headed FASTLY into the Holiday Season. I L*O*V*E this time of year. I wish the feeling of the Holidays would never end. I love that you can listen to cheesy Christmas music, decorate your house in Witches, then Pilgrams, then Elves/Snowmen and Santas all within a three month, consecutive period. Also, along with this I am a sucker and thankful for shopping with crazy people at 5am, the day after Thanksgiving. I am not going to be there this year because we are headed on a highly anticipated vacation(Rach and Kell, hold it down for me ok?). I will live without it this year, but you bet I will be back next year :)
10. I am thankful that I live in a country that is holding an election this year. OOPS, politics somehow snuck into my Thankful List :) I am not going to stand on a soap box and tell you who I think you should vote for. I am just going to say, listen for the TRUTH. There is lots of crazy, lying, silly stories floating around this election for BOTH candidates. Sift through to make sure what you KNOW is actually truth. This is an important election, don't forget to VOTE :) Now can someone give me a hand down from this soap box? thanks :)

The Witches and Our Little witch
We had a great time visiting the Witches at Gardener Village this year. Just like the last few years, we met up with Alex, and Heidi and their cute little ones. We had a great time, even though it was pretty cold that day, and we waited 20 minutes just to get some Hot Apple Cider to warm our bones. I just took a few photos this year. SO, here are a few to check out :) The Flying Witch
Live and Grace with the sitting witch....she is always a favorite
AND we also have a cute little witch at our house this Halloween. Grace got to have Halloween come early this year because her School Halloween Party was early (she is off track now, and won't be back until November). I put this little costume together, and think it turned out pretty good!! I made the Tutu, and also decorated her hat. She is the cutesest little witch EVER :)

My Trip To Alaska
I normally don't do the posts on this blog...but I thought I would talk about my fishing trip to Alaska. Anyone that knows me has probably heard me talk about my dad and brothers going to Alaska when I was younger. I wanted to go so bad, but, I was only 4 or 5 years old. They were catching fish that weighed as much, if not more, than I weighed. Ever since I have wanted to go to Alaska to fish for Salmon. Well, I finally got the chance to go!!
I went to Ketchikan with my friend Brandon, his dad, Geoff, and one of Geoff's friends, Dave. The four of us went for 10 days. We stayed in Ketchikan the first 2 nights and the last 2 nights. The rest of the time was on Prince of Wales (an island in the Inside Passage). We went Halibut fishing the first full day. We spent 8 hours on the ocean in the middle of a storm. I think we were the only charter trip that day to catch any Halibut. The reason why is no had a crazy enough Capt. to take their boat out of the protected bays into the channel. I didn't think anything of it, but, I guess everyone that heard we went out to the channel to fish thought we were crazy! I would love to try and tell you what it was like but I don't think I could really put that experience into words. Absolutely crazy!!
The next day we were supposed to fly out to Karta Lake, which is on the island of Prince of Wales. However, because of the storm the previous day the float planes were trying to catch up from all of the cancelled flights. We were sitting in the airport waiting to see if we were going to be able to fly out. Finally the pilot said he was going to fly us out there and see if he could land. The pilot was awesome...he had a small window of opportunity and he jumped on it. He got us in and told us to hurry and get everything out of the plane before the window closed. While doing this the pilot turned to Brandon and said, "That was scary!" I am glad he kept that comment to himself until we were on the ground and out of the plane!
We spent 6 days fishing for Salmon on the Karta River. In those 6 days we had 1 day where the sun shined. We got rained on every single day we were there fishing. However, I could have cared less. I was finally in Alaska fishing for Salmon. I had been waiting for 25 years (crazy to think I can say that) for this. In those 6 days we caught so many fish that we could never have kept track. We were catching so many fish that we became very picky as to which ones we wanted to keep. One day, we knew we could catch 36 more Pink Salmon to have our limit. We went to a place called "The Falls". This was about 1/4 mile down the river from our cabin. We spent about 2 hours 45 minutes until we limited out on our Pinks. In that amount of time we easily caught over 100 fish. But, again we were being picky. Keeping only large females.
We then flew back to Ketchikan for the last day of fishing. We met up with Capt. Luke and went Halibut fishing for another 8 hours. The day couldn't have been any more perfect. The water didn't have the 5-7 foot swells coming over the bow of the boat. It wasn't raining and the sun was out. I became known as "Ratfish" by all of the guys that day. I couldn't catch anything but a bottom dwelling garbage fish know as...you guessed it...Ratfish. We finished the day with our limit of Halibut and some other rock fish which are good eating. Along with the Ratfish we caught, we also brought in 3 sand sharks, Brandon caught a Sea Cucumber, and I caught a Skate (Guitar Fish or Ray as most people know them). Off in the distance we saw a Humpback Whale surfacing and diving.
All in all, it was one of the best trips I have ever taken. After having been to several places, Paris, the Virgin Islands, Hawaii, and many other states in the union, this was right up there with them. Maybe because this was a place and thing I had been wanting nearly all of my life. To say the least, I am ready to go back and do it all over again.Creek Street in Ketchikan

SO SO Sad, but this is the best pic I got of this. This blurry Man is my Dad. He and Mckell practiced in secret for several months doing this FULLY choreographed dance to Sir Mix A Lots "I like Big Butts". It was so silly and fun!!! My dad is such a good sport, and would do anything for his kids.....love him :)
After the dinner there was some serious dancing!! People really got into it, it was so fun!

Gracies Bedtime Prayer....
Last night while saying her prayer Grace remembered a couple of very important things that needed to be included in the prayer....
She asked Heavenly Father to help her like corn. She said " Please help me learn that I like corn. Because my family keeps telling me that I like it, and I really don't think that I do".
She also asked that "Mom and the Baby in her tummy would be healthy, and that mom would not make the baby eat spicy food". She is spice food patrol with me lately, because she is convinced that the baby is not like me a Liv and is does not appreciate a spicy meal. She is probably right :)
She also asked that she and Liv would go to bed like good girls, so that Mama does not have to get in trouble to them.
She is so cute, and funny! I love to hear how she looks at things, there is not better point of view better than a little girls!

Lessons in Patriotism.....
WARNING: This might be a long post. :)

Two weeks ago we had a Neighbor/ward member return home to his wife and four small children (one of whom was born a couple of months before he returned home) after serving for one full year in Iraq. A large number of niehgbors lined the entrance to the neighborhood with flags, (there were flags for about 1/2 mile leading to their home) We all gathered at their street entrance to give him a true heroes welcome as he returned home for the first time in a year. This photo above is of some of the small children holding a "Thank You !!" sign (with Liv at the end holding an american flag) It was a heart warming, tear jerking (especially for the pregant lady, thank goodness for large sunglasses :) experiance to see him return, and stop to get out and greet each of us. We are so thankful to him and his family for the ENORMOUS sacrifice that they endured for a full year.
Within a week of our neighbor returning home Greg was working late one night and had another experiance that made me think about how life altering being a soldier IS.
Greg was on patrol and stopped into a 7-11 to get a drink. When he went into the store, he said"hi" to the clerk working. The clerk looked nervous and said 'hi' back. When Greg went up to buy his drink the clerk said that he wished Greg would have stopped in a few minutes earlier. Greg asked him what had happened, and the clerk proceeded to tell him a story that makes me so sad.
He told Greg that a few minutes before Greg got there, he had closed up the alcohol cases for the night (in UT you cannot purchase any alcohol after 1:00am) and just at that moment a group of drunk, obnoxious men walked into the store wanting to buy beer. He told the men that he could not sell anymore for the night, and they would have to wait until to following day. The men then began verbally harassing this man, and to summarize, told him that he was worthless, and that he was just a pathetic 7-11 graveyard worker, who should feel horrible about himself. They finally left, and you can imagine how this man was feeling when Greg walked into the store a couple of minutes\ later.
This man then proceeded to tell Greg just why we was a 7-11 graveyard employee. He told Greg that he had only recently started working this job. Before working at 7-11 he had been working as a professional, making three times what he was making at 7-11. He had however left that job to serve in Iraq. While in Irag he stood next to a dear friend and watched him be killed by a gunshot. After having returned from Iraq, he resumed work at his previous job. One day while working he was in the office and had a hallucination of his tramatic experiance. He caused a bit a scene, and because he was working in a professional enviroment (I think it was a medical office, or something like that) they could not have this happening. He ended up losing his job, and while waiting for his disability to kick in was FORCED to get a job at the only place that would hire him.. 7-11. ( He is waiting for his Verteran Disability Benefits to kick in)
I am not sure what else to say about this story other than I wish those drunk men could have somehow heard this story. I just wonder what they would have said, to try to make amends for humiliating and harrasing a man who was working there, because he had volenteered to leave his normal, productive life to serve for THEM.
We also finally made it up to the BRAND NEW Utah Law Enforment Memorial, at the Utah State Capitol. We went out after church to do some "Sunday Driving" and decided to head up there a week ago. It was dedicated a little over a month ago, and Greg was working so we were not able to make it to the dedication. The people who created and desgined the Memorial did an amazing job. It was very touching to be there and see all the names of the Officers who had died while on duty. This is such a long overdue memorial, and I am so happy that this has been completed to remember those who leave their families every single day, and take that chance of not returning home. Obviously it is a very real thing to our family, and we appriciate and love all those who left home for work, and did not return home. It becomes very day to day, and is not something we put much time into thinking about in our home, but it is very real and I think it is great that there is a place that you can remember those men and women.

This is the best picture I could get of this seal that is on the ground, and still being completed.

There are also several statues in the memorial of officers. THey all show the caring spirit of officers. They statues do a great job showing that these people where just people, who have wives, children and lives away from Police work. It is a great memorial.
So, this is officially an incredibly LONG post. I can't imagine many people will make it all the way through, but I just want to remember these things, and recognise all those of sacrfice for me and my family.
This is the wall of plaques that includes a plaque for each officer who had died while on duty, in the state of Utah. NOTE: There are STILL somme officers that do not have plaques. They cost $500 for each plaque and the memorial is still taking donations for any amount to help get the rest of the officers the recognation they deserve. If you want to donate any amount you can go to http://www.utahsfallen.org/ and you can donate directly to the Memorial.

Grace and Livs First Day of School (another late post)
Liv on the first day of Preschool.
Grace, right before heading out to her first day of Kindergarten.
Grace lining up on her first day, with all the little Kindergarten kids. This is what they do when its time to go into class everyday. It is so cute to see her line up with all the cute little ones. Today though, she actually told me that I could just drop her off in the bus lane, and she would walk to her class by herself. I was happy to not have to hang out for 10 minutes before class, but I admit also a little sad to see her getting so that she doesn't need me to walk her to class :)
Miss Grace, with a HUGE smile, RUNNING to her Mama after to first day of school! I love mu little/big girl so much!

Moffitt Summer Fun (documented a couple months too late)

.....Aaaanndd I am back to blogging :)
It has been a VERY long time since I have posted anything on our blog. I was frustrated that I could not post photos so I just bagged it for a while. Well, I am back and ready to actually post a photo or two.
Life has been so exciting latley that I am sad that I have not been keeping up on my blogging. We have had soooo much fun over the past couple of months that I honestly don't know where I would possibly start. So, I have decided that I will only catch up on super important (like directions for brain surgery) stuff. :)
I hope that since I have taken my break that people are still actually checking our blog. Are you???? Please let me know, cause I am hoping that I still have a couple blog groupies who faithfully have checked every day just HOPING to find an update :) hahaha, alright thats a stretch, but seriously are you all still looking at this blog? Leave me a comment to let me know, thanks!

ANOTHER update without photos
We are having lots of fun right now, and so I thought I should update even without photos.
Life around our house has been so much fun, and super busy lately! Liv started Preschool this week. Monday she had her Orientation day and today was the FIRST official day of preschool. She LOVES going, and since she has started I swear she acts older. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? Maybe I am just realizing that she is not the tiny toddler that I see. Her teacher, Miss Bonnie is great, and says that Liv is very tall (ya, we know :) and enthusiastic about socialising and learning. (OH NO, I think that might be 3 year old for ADD, lets hope not...hahaha) She is such a smart little girl that I know she will do amazing in preschool. She already learns so much from listening to Grace that she has a lead on the rest :)
Grace has lots going on right now. She stared Dance last week and has been wanting to wear her leotards underneath her clothes everyday, JUST IN CASE the opportunity to dance presents itself. She has been practicing her moves all week and is so so so happy that I finally signed her up.
She is also getting ready to start Kindergarten in two weeks. I cannot believe that I am going to be sending her off to school 5 days a week. I have really been looking forward to when this day came. I am now starting to feel kind of sad about her reaching the point where she will be gone, out of my control, on her own 5 days a week!! It is a bittersweet thing, that I never thought would be anything but great! I know she will have an amazing time, and love her experiences in school but I just kind of want to be selfish and keep her darling innocence about the world in tact a little longer. I have actually suddenly thought I would hold her back one year, because she will be very young, but I know she is ready and that would not be right. It will be great, but I know it will be an adjustment for me, and super super exciting and wonderful for her.
Greg and I have been so busy with life lately also. We really have been enjoying our little family. We have loved this summer, and being able to spend time outdoors with our kids. We have done days in the mountains and many other fun summer activities.
The girls really love helping in the garden. Grace and Liv can be found munching on red Grape Tomatoes from the garden any chance they get. They love counting how many are red. Having our garden this year has been so much fun for all of us, and they even took it upon themselves to plant somewhere around 30 cucumber plants in an area I had planned to plant rose bushes. They had a packet of seeds and told me in the spring, while I was planting, that they had planted a garden. I said"oh great" and thought nothing of it until a million cucumber plants sprouted! They have loved taking care of their garden though, so we just left it as their spot :)
We had a fun experience a week or so ago. We took the girls to my doctor and listened to our new babies heartbeat. They thought it was so cool that they could actually hear the babies heartbeat while it was in my tummy. OH, btw I am pregnant. haha! I am due March 7 and have told most of you, and if I haven't told you then......SURPRISE :)

Moffitt Family Update (sans photos...ugh)
So, my computer that I can load my hundreds of pics that I want to post is STILL not working. BUT, I am tired of not posting anything about what is happening in our lives. So, I am giving in, and posting WITHOUT photos, ahhh! hehe
There has been sooo much going on in our lives lately that I just can't ignore it( at least that's how not blogging it feels).
Gracie graduated from Preschool in June! I cannot believe that my tiny miss girl is going to start KINDERGARTEN in just one month! She is so very excited, and I know that she is going to LOVE it. She is all of the sudden so big, and acts older. Our conversations have changed lately to actual conversing about relevant situations, or concerns that a child would have. She has always been quite the talker, but lately she blows Greg and I away with her knowledge of the world around her. She truly is such a joy in our lives! She turns 5 this week, and is very excited about her birthday. We love our Gracie girl so much, and can't wait to celebrate her birthday with her!
Miss Liv is also doing very well. She is loving the freedom of summertime play, and at almost any time of the day she can be found running around the backyard with her big sister. She too is getting SO big.
She and Gracie have recently started really having fun playing with Barbies, and playing princesses and pretend. It is so fun to listen to them talk and pretend to be princesses or fairies.
Liv is (and I am certain, she always will be) our funny firecracker. She is NEVER without something to say, and when she is upset...watch out :) The problem is that she is truly to smart for her own good (with her, I do now really understand that statement) She is a tiny three year old, who can figure too many things out to get herself into mischief. For instance, she has recently figured out the meaning of the word "Stupid". She has also noticed that she can ruffle feathers but directing it at her sister, or whomever she is not happy with at the moment. This, of course, is not alright with Me or Greg, so we have been working on getting this word under control, and I must say, it has worked pretty well. She has though , noticed that she can change to word to relay her thought, without actually saying it. She was recently heard calling her sister "NUPID"!!!!! I am sorry, but I could not help but leave the room and laugh! She was told though, that Nupid is also not nice to say, and has not said it in a few days. Tonight though, she and Grace were arguing in our car(after a really fun day with the Lovatos) and Liv called Grace "Stool" Not too bad right?? BUT, the word sounded more like "stew-al"! She started to say stupid, and her "too smart for her own good" three year old mind thought of the first replacement word to change it! She is so funny! We love her so much, and would be SO SO SO bored without her in our lives :)
Greg and I are also doing great! Just enjoying our time with our growing family, and loving our kids and each other. We have had such a fun summer, with lots of family visits. My Mom has been here several times this summer, which has been really fun. The Moffitts (Mike, Aleta and Fam; Kris and boys; and Mom and Dad) where all in town last week. We had a great time with ALL of them.
Our Nephew, Briton, entered the MTC headed to Montevideo, Uruguay. This is why all the Moffitts (except Rod and Ruths Fam, we missed you guys) where able to be in town at the same time. We has so much fun with all of them in town! We even had a big BBQ at our tiny little house, with Richard, Shanna and their kids, and grand kids; and all of the Moffitts. We has so much fun having everyone over for dinner. Its funny how when you are in good company, things like last minute HUGE BBQs can go off without a hitch, and with nearly ZERO stress :) Great Time, Great People, Great Fun.
My sister Mckell, was married just a few weeks ago. She and Geoff are now Mr and Mrs Burckhard. We loved their wedding, it was SO much fun!! AND, so beautiful! It was great spending time with all of our Family at the wedding. My Mom and Richard were in town, and so was Colton. Colton actually married(as in, performed the ceremony)Mckell and Geoff!! He did a great job (even though his cell phone rang TWICE while performing the ceremony...hahaha! )It really was a great wedding, start to finish. Congrats Guys, and Very best of luck!
Alright, what else??? Hmm... I don't know, I guess I have talked myself out for the night. There is more going on, worth talking about, but I think I have updated as much as I can stand for one night :) SOON, I will add pics of all the fun things we have been doing!

Memories of Me (Me being Carly or Greg)
1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember.

Family Night at the Bees Game!
We were supposed to meet Ants and Rene for family night at the Bees Game last night, but Ants was sick (hope you are feeling better :) We decided to go anyway, with the girls. We had a BLAST!! I took a bunch of photos, so here is our night........................
We took Trax to the game. The girls thought it was VERY cool to get to ride a REAL Train to go see that Baseball game.
Olivia attracted a HUGE Bee while we were watching the game!! She was yelling " Hi, Honey Bee!!" over and over, finally he came over and danced with her. This morning, when she woke up the very first thing she said to me was...." Mama, my favorite part was when the Honey Bee kissed (he also kissed her on the forehead) and danced with me." It was a really pretty night for the game, a little chilly but not too bad.
We has a great time, and we're already planning our next family night at the game!

Happy Mothers Day!!!
Happy Mothers Day!!! I want to start by wishing a VERY Happy Mothers Day to my Mothers, and Grandmothers!
Momma Keri, I want you to know how much I love and admire you. You are such a great example of love and compassion, I have a VERY soft heart for the underdog and have always been willing to stand up and say what I believe. I KNOW that these parts of me are not an accident or coincidanse. You have always taught me to stand up and be heard, even if it is not the "cool" thing, and I LOVE you for that. You are also one of the people that I have the most fun with! There are so many laughs and jokes that we share every time we talk, and I love that you are someone that I can have a fun time with!!! You are in Russia right now, and then back to Paris. I hope that you have had a great time, and can't wait to hear the inevitable stories that you will have to share (hopefully none about teeth :)
Momma Betty, I also want to tell you how proud I am to have you as my Mom! I absolutely love the time that we are able to spend together! Old movies, Snacks and Good Conversations always come to mind when I think about spending with you, at your house or ours! I love that you raised a son that is such a great father and husband. You are such a wonderful example to me of understanding, patience and love. I am so happy to have you a my mother in law!
AND..... to all my Momma Friends, and Family. I love you all, and am so thankful for each of you. I am so lucky to have so many friends and family members that i can model myself as a mother from watching you. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
Now, put your feet up, and "pull the Mothers Day Card" (I have, shamelessly, a couple of times today!!)
I had a great Mothers Day, and kind of ended up taking a bunch of photos, so thought I would make up for the lack of recent photos by bombarding you with these!
Olivia got this VERY cool bubble blower from Ashlyn for her birthday. I was telling Heidi about our bubble blowing dilemma, and she solved it with this great gift. It is battery operated, and you pour the bubbles into the "tummy" of the animal. You just pull the little trigger on the handle and the animal spews bubbles out of its mouth, LOVE THIS!!!
This is what our deck looks like right now! We have 8 hanging flower baskets on our deck!!!! They are not all ours, but we are currently the caretakers of these, until we get them to their actual owners. I have loved looking at our deck the past few days and seeing all the pretty flowers, though! They were for a fundraiser that we did for the FOP Auxiliary. They turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!!
This is just a collection of some other photos today. (all pics in this post were taken today) We went to church, and watched the Jazz WIN, and then played in the backyard. It has been a wonderful Mothers Day!!!

I Love My Family...
I have not blogged about actual family stuff for a little while. Honestly, its because I spend my entire day on my laptop for work, and retreiving new pics requires me also using our desktop computer. At the end of the day, firing up that one, just to blog does not sound like what I want to do, so here is another blog, sans photos. BUT, I will post a bunch, soon...
Anyway, I just wanted to share some of my thoughts and happenings with relation to our little fam, from over the past little while.
Re-entering the working world is good and bad. It cuts into my time with my girls, which is the number one complaint. BUT, working from home, I still get to have my tiny girls "sneak" into the room where I am working from time to time. They normally will just walk in (like if they are silent, they will somehow go unseen) and look at me. Then when I say "hi", they both generally react the same way. They will walk up to me and just squeeeeeeezze my arm, or leg. It is so sweet to feel that love from them. They are such a joy in my life, and I just want to walk into their room right now (even though its almost midnight, so I won't) and give them the same squeeze back. They are such a joy in my life, I wish you could bottle the love that you feel from and for your children.
Now, that said..... I want to share a funny experiance that we had at Target yesterday. Greg, Grace, Liv and I were all at Target picking up a last minute gift for Cute Baby Avas birthday party. Liv was in the cart that I was pushing, and Greg and Grace were trailinga few isles behind us.
I was getting a gift bag for the gift we had chosen, and Liv wanted to get a LARGE GREEN, GOOGLY EYED MONSTER bag for Avas gift. I told her that maybe we should choose something girly since Ava is a girl. Liv then went on to explain that SHE is a girl, and it is HER birthday in a little bit (which, BTW, is true) and that SHE needs the girl bags and Ava should get the Monster Bag, As we turned to walk down the isle with the girl bags, Liv did her signiture frustration huff ( looooong breath in, followed by a huff that normally does not get perfected until much later in life. Livi is good at it ) and LOUDLY tells me " Momma, I am VERY upset about this". (this is her new catch phrase, and she says it all the time) I looked up to see a middle aged woman smile, knowlingly at our situation. As I walked past her, down the isle I heard her say through a laugh " I am sorry, but THAT was funny!! I have teenagers who tell me the same thing, but coming from a tiny girl it sounds really funny!!" She was saying this to Greg, who caught her laughing about what had happened.
Liv is my firecracker, this is no secret. I like though, that she has expanded into using phrases like this one. She is such a sweetheart, and has THE funniest sense of humor. I love every minute with her, even when she is VERY upset.
Also, I have story about Miss Grace. Grace has all of the sudden turned into what we would call " The Ear". She hears EVERYTHING! We have to be really carefull about our driving in the car conversations, because we will be talking and suddenly there will be a comment interjected from the little girl in the booster seat. She is also proof that television marketing tools work wonders on the 4 year old age group. She is a big fan of Beneful Dog Food (and tries to get me to buy it, even though we don't have a dog...because it is healthy) Electresol (which she says it actually "the cleaning power of the Electrosol Power Ball) and recently has added Sketchers shoes to her list (because they apparently can make you fly).
Well, getting to the point.... a couple of days ago I was driving with Liv and Grace in the backseat. They had smuggled Barbies into the car, and were playing happily with their dolls. All of the sudden, Grace burst out laughing. She then exclaimed "HOLY CRAP LIV, WHEN YOU DID THAT, IT TOTALLY MADE ME FREAK OUT!!" Not only does she HEAR everything but she apparently also picks up some serious slang. I have no idea where she would be hearing people use so many slang words in a given sentance!! (wink, wink)
I just want to also give a mushy, loving shout to my husband, whom I love with all of my heart. We have been married for almost 7 years, and love eachother more everyday. He is an amazing husband and daddy. I love you!
Alright, now get on with the whatever else you should be doing!! (haha, if you are still reading this LONG post)

ME.......In Photos
ALSO, I love Green
Green with regard to the Green Movement ( I know I am a hippy, and proud of it :)
Green as the focal color (with terra cotta i.e. orange) color in my main living area of my Tres Modern house. Well, not completely Modern ,but it is a work in progress.
Green, as in walking through warm grass while barefoot (the best way to be)during a hot summer day.
Green, as is hiking and being completely surrounded by trees.
Green is a great color!!! (btw, this photo is of a bamboo forest, which is a completely renewable resource, that we are going to be putting in as flooring in our living area, in the green room.........hahaha, I just totally tied both explanations of green together!!!)

BTW, we have another trip in the planning stages for Tortola, later this year. In the past I have loved snorkeling, and when I was living down there I did it all the time. BUT, the thought of scuba terrified me. Honestly, it still sort of does, but I am COMMITTING to conquer the fear, I am going to get certified and when we go down this year, I WILL SCUBA!!! Hold me to it people, I might try to back out. :)
ALSO, I LOVE Boxers!!!! We have had two of them, and if I had the energy I would get another. They are seriously the cutest, most loving, happiest, kid friendly dogs I have ever seen.
Just look at this guys face............SO CUTE!!

Bad Habit:
ADHD is not a habit, you say????
Well, turns out you are wrong :) 27 years of ADHD before deciding on any sort of treatment has created some silly habits. Turns many of those habits are not good ones :)
Favorite Food:

Favorite Song:

Favorite Dessert:
I love SNAPS Candy!!! Technically this is not a dessert, but I would happily eat it any time as a treat!!!! They are old school, they are tough, they taste like perfume....and I LOVE these little licorice confections!!!!

My Job:
My actual title is Gear Head. I get to chat with people online about what type of killer gear they are stoked on. I chat ALL DAY about camping, hiking; travel, snowboarding, climbing, biking, skiiing, and just about anything else you can imagine outdoors. I work from home, and LOVE it. BTW, I started working from home a few weeks ago, again. The is the reason for the decline in posts. I am adjusting life to fit the job. :)

and I think there were some other categories, but they got deleted and I have been working on this post FOREVER!!!!!! So, I am done...... P P P PEACE!!!!!!!
ALSO, since I did this one, I am passing(tagging) it on to : Alex, Natalie, Kristin, Heidi, and Ali. Get to it girls :)

WHAT???? A New Post?!!?!! :)
OK, I have to apologize for taking such a long blogging break. But, it has been for a good reason. Life has been crazy lately, to say the very least!!!
These last several weeks have been good ones, and there are a MILLION pics that have documented them. I just have not had time (or quite honestly, the drive)to blog.
First. Greg ended up taking 12 days off over the last two weeks, and even though we didn't go anywhere or do much that was incredibly exciting, we just had such a nice time being a family. We got a Zoo Pass this year, so we hit the zoo a couple of times. We did some house work. to prep for spring time. It was really nice having a vacation, that was not really a vacation.
Also, during the time that he has taken off, I ended up taking a job again, at Backcountry.com . I am pretty happy about it. I am going to be working FULL TIME!!!! I have not worked full time since before Grace was born! It seems a little crazy, and might not last as 'full time' for too long, but we thought some extra moola for summer fun would not be such a bad thing. :) I am working at home, so that makes it much easier :)
There really has been lots going on over the past few weeks, and I will update with a photo diary of my blogging hiatus. Maybe I will get in loaded tomorrow.

A Slight Change of Perspective Goes a LONG Way!!
I saw that pic I took of Grace last week at the zoo, and it made think about the last pic I took of her with the Gorilla.
The first pic was taken on her second birthday, in July 2005. As you can see by the pic, she was TERRIFIED that Greg would want her to have a picture taken with the massive, deadly Gorilla. She was not happy in this picture, at al(It might look like she is smiling, but she is actually crying, hysterically)l!!!
The second pic is of her playing around with the Gorilla Statue. She thought it was very cool how the zoo made this statue, for people to have their pictures taken with.
Funny, how gaining just a couple years of perspective can take something that is terrifying and turn it into something fun! Hmm, I need to remember that one for myself :) I guess your kids can teach more that just patience, if you look for the lesson.

Zoo Day!
We went to the Hogle Zoo yesterday, and it was really fun!!! I have to admit, that in recent years I have been less than thrilled about going to the zoo. I love watching my girls get excited about the animals (when you can actually see them) but, the crowds, the lack of visible animals, and the craziness of two super excited girls, have sort of turned me off.
Well, our trip yesterday changed my mind! It was upper 50's, so the animals were really active, and not trying to hide from the heat :) ALSO, it was not crowded, AT ALL!!
The biggest reason that it was enjoyable, has to do with the nifty little red harness Liv is modeling in the pics. Anyone who knows Livi, knows that she is HIGH ENERGY. We love this about her, but in places like the zoo, it leaves me exausted and regretful by the end of the day :) I usually spend half my day CHASING her, and calling her name. The harness was Heidis idea, and she offered to bring it. In the past, I had not so great feelings about putting kids on leashes, but Tiny Miss Liv has changed my mind. She had a great time, and so did I. I left feeling like I could handle a zoo day again, soon :) We love Liv for her engery and fun way of looking at the world, but putting her on a leash makes it even more enjoyable :) !!!!!!
We also had Bella with us, which was so fun! She is such a sweet little baby, and we are happy to be able to spend some time with her this week. Alex is out of town for a few days, and so I am watching her while Greg is at work. The girls LOVE her, and she has a great time with them. Grace can make her laugh, just be looking at her! She is a cutie!
We also capped off the day, by nearly getting ATTACKED by a crazy, and not so happy to see the little zoo train, Buffalo!!! He was bucking (which I had never seen a Buffalo do, let alone having it be 2 feet away, and uncaged!!!)and actually hit his nose on the train a couple ot times!!! It was nuts! Heidi and I were a little freaked when it was all over, he was not a happy Buffalo!!!!I SO SO wish I had my camera available to have gotten a pic, it is hard to believe unless you can see what actually happened!!

We <3 Grammy Keri
Grammy Keri with Liv, Colin, Grace and Jaxon.
She is working on a new design project, that I am sure many of you will get to see, and will LOVE!!!!!! She is an awesome designer, and amazes me with her talent. Whenever I have a question about what I should do with a certain area of my house (or even someone elses house) she always gives me TONS of amazing options. She is really talented, and I hope that I somehow inherited just a touch of her eye for design.
Anyway, we are happy that this project will be bringing her to Utah quite often over the next little while. We will take full advantage of her being here. :)
Love You Ma!

My Monsters
Grace and Liv turned themselves into monsters today, while I was downstairs for 2 minutes changing laundry. When I walked upstairs, they both DOVE behind a chair, and giggled. I KNEW something was up, so when I asked them to stand up, I was not too surprised to find THIS...... They told me that Grace is the Tear Monster, and Liv is the Blue Monster. I was afraid, at first, that Grace was again doing her tattoo artistry, but she did not mention that they were tattoos, just monsters. Phew.... I think she has moved on from the tattoo interest, for now :)

The Moffitt Family Blog...soon to be a private blog :(
Okay everyone, the day is soon approaching that I am going to need to turn this into a private blog. I am bummed, because I really don't want to. However, with Gregs job I am thinking that it is a good idea.
I DO NOT want to exclude anyone from reading, that wants too. I am just asking you to let me know you are reading, so that I can invite you to the blog. I will need your email address to be able to do that. So, you can leave it in a comment, OR send me an email at
carlymoffitt@msn.com
I don't care who you are, and even if I don't know you...just let me know that you want to be invited, and I will get you invited.
I will still have my personal blog, that I am going to keep public, but this one is on the countdown to private(probably in a month). Anyway....PLEASE PLEASE let me know that you are reading, so that I can make sure to invite you!!!!!

It has been a while......
Okay, so I have not blogged at all latley!!! I seriously have run out of things to say at the moment. I am not sure if it is due to ALL of us being sick (levels ranging from REALLY sick to just blah sick) over the past month. It might be because my husband has had to work SO MUCH over that past few weeks, and I seriously don't have the energy to say anything that does not NEED to be said. It might also be the fact that I am so sick of winter, that all I really want to do is complain! Who really wants to waste time TYPING out their complaints?! And even more than that, who wants to read about them??? :)
BTW, is is just me or does this winter suck, more that previous winters??? I mean, seriously....I AM OVER WINTER!!!!!!!!!!! Phew, I typed it out, and feel a little better :)
Now that I have summed up that past couple of weeks, I think I can move on :)
We have had some fun things going on over that past few weeks also. Last week, Greg was invited to talk to Graces Preschool class, about safety. Liv and I tagged along, and it was SO cute!!! The little kids were in awe of him, and had some of the funniest things to tell him!!!
I also painted the girls room, and REALLY like was a difference it made. We bought new bunk beds for their room, and are just waiting for them to arrive. I can't wait until it gets here, I want to see the new room, completed!
Anyway, I promise more posts, and a more Carly-like attitude soon!!! :)

A Look Back At This Time Last Year....
If you are not loving the Marley Music, you can click on the speaker next to the video, and it will make the music stop :)
I SO SO SO wish we were there RIGHT NOW!!! I am OVER the winter, at this point :)
This time last year we were in Tortola, in the BVI. We went to see my Moms new house that they had just purchased. I really love Tortola, it has a different feel than St John, both are amazing!! You would think they would be much the same, considering you could probably swim to one from the other(literally), but they actually have two completly different feels to them.
I LOVE the Virgin Islands! In case you might not know, I moved there by myself when I was 19. I wanted a little adventure, before it was time to grow up, and BOY did I find one!!! I love it down there, and would move back in a heartbeat, seriously we have talked about it. I just don't know if that is where I want to girlies to do their growing up, it is very isolated, so maybe when we retire :)
There is something magic about the Culture, and the Islands, that I love. I lived on St John, my FAVE island. BTW, if you want any info on the islands, give me a shout, I know lots of the secrets and LOVE talking about that place!!! :)

Old Lady, BMW, Rear Ended...
Well, yesterday I got into a car accident. I was talking on my cell phone to Gregs sister Kristin (btw Kris, we are fine. I never got a hold of you after that :) and stopped at a red light to turn right. When I stopped, the woman behind me RAMMED our car. Liv was with me, and from the back seat she said (very matter of factly....)"That car bumped into our car, Mamma. Is Daddy coming to give us a ticket?"
It was actually kind of funny, I am a little psychotic because of Gregs profession. The first thought that ran through my head(after taking a look at Miss Liv) was.....'Phew, she is driving a BMW, that means she is most likely insured.' I guess that I have heard Greg say too many times, that there are a TON of peeps who are uninsured driving around.
My second thought, was that she hit my bumper on the same side that we had a car hit and run on us, RIGHT after we bought our car. We did not want to report the hit and run, so it never got fixed. I was happy that she hit me there! Now, she gets to fix her damage, along with somebody elses.
This is the third accident I have been in, and it was not my fault. The first accident was when I hit the tree while doing my makeup, a block from my dads house, when I was 19. THAT is a funny story, but I am not in the mood to tell it. Maybe some other time, I will go into that one.
The second accident was literally two weeks after my first accident, and an old women hit my sisters car in a intersection. I totalled two cars in two weeks!!! The other thing was that the SAME police officer came to both accidents! Luckily, there were no trees involved with the second. :)
Now, the third....Old Lady, BMW, rear ended. Not as eventful, but thats a good thing :)

Happy Thanksgiving,errr... Valentines Day!
Today I keep refering to Valentines Day as Thanksgiving...I have NO idea why!!
So, this evening after listening to me refer to today as Thanksgiving multiple times, Greg decided to embrace my weirdness, and has since joined me in refering to today as Thanksgiving!
We have had a really nice day. Greg and I celebrated Our Valentines a couple of days ago (because he has to work tonight), so we decided that today was all about the girls.
We started off by prepping for our special Valentines dinner. Grace and Liv decorated a plastic tablecloth with various stickers, and markers. They had a great time and did a really cute job.
Then, Gracie was off to her Valentines Day Party at preschool. After dropping her off, Liv and I headed to the craft store to pick out some new RED candles for our dinner. Liv is so funny when she is the only kid around. She is very calm and super helpful. Today she kept saying, "Mamma, I am the big girl right now, huh?" She is a sweetheart!
After picking Gracie up from preschool, we headed home and Grace showed us ALL of her Valentines goodies she got from all of her friends at preschool. She was so excited, and SOO sweet to eagerly share her treats with her little sis.
Then we decorated heart shaped cupcakes and heart shaped sugar cookies that I had made yesterday. The girls thought that was so cool, that they got to do all the decorating by themselves!
While they were decorating, Greg and I were getting dinner ready(Yes, Greg and I cook together...we both love it, so we usually end up cooking together...yet another reason I LOVE him). We had a yummy dinner, and the girls LOVED the table decor! Grace thought it was so cool that she was drinking out of a GLASS cup(it was really a disposable $0.15 champagne glass, but we played along with her)!!
All in all, it was a FABULOUS Day!! I hope that everyone has had an equally great day!
Happy Thanksgiving, or Valentines...whatever :)
